Coming from a legal background, Joanne decided at the age of 50 to give up everything to pursue her childhood dream of working and devoting herself to the well-being of animals. Having no experience in the field, she started as a volunteer at the SPCA and was involved for two years before having her first experience in a veterinary hospital. It was love at first sight and she knew right away that she belonged there.
Since then, she has become the dean of the Ville-Émard veterinary clinic. This is where the love affair has been going on for four years now. Developing relationships with owners, communicating with compassion, acquiring new knowledge and of course giving kisses to the patients who visit us are all part of her busy days. Working with passion, drive and good humour are part of her core values.
